Our Programs & Classes
Students and enthusiasts of Taekwondo have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.
Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Hayden's ATA Black Belt Academy offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.
Tiny Tigers
In addition to our internationally recognized Karate for Kids program, we offer the Taekwondo for Tiny Tigers program. The Tiny Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 4 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Karate for Kids program, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system. |
Karate for Kids
There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the martial arts. We have developed a program based on traditional Taekwondo for kids called Karate for Kids. The Karate for Kids system is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. The building blocks for our system are monthly themes such as:
Goals Friendship Perseverance Self-Control Confidence Self-Improvement Courtesy Self Awareness Respect Integrity Self-Esteem Dedication
In addition to monthly themes, our system includes the unique victory patch. Kids are rewarded special "Victory Stars." These different colored stars are rewarded for outstanding performance in karate class, school, home or at a tournament competition. Kids may receive the following stars for the following deeds:
Gold Straight A’s, honor roll, or significant improvement Silver Special performance awards Blue Monthly themes, weekly lessons, classroom performance Red Tournament participation
Four different colored Victory Patches are available to accommodate all the stars that can be earned by a high achieving Karate Kid:
Victory Patches Blue 0-24 Stars Silver 25-49 Stars Gold 50-99 Stars Blue/Gold 100+ Stars

Black Belt Club
The Black Belt Club is made up of students who are dedicated to achieving their Black Belts. These students have set their goal for Black Belt and train each class to reach that goal. Black Belt Club members also work on advanced skills like board breaking and sparring. |
Teen/Adult Taekwondo
Our Teen/Adult program teaches traditional Taekwondo to students ages 13 and older. We have a wide variety of abilites and ages in this program and we can show you how Taekwondo can benefit everyone. Our adult students also qualify to participate in our Black Belt Club but they do so at times different then the Karate for Kids. |
Leadership Team
This program is designed for students age 6 and older who are interested in become Leaders. These students learn skills that will help them become Leaders at Taekwondo, in shool, at home, and on the job. Leadership Team members also get to choose from many different teams that they choose to join. |
Master's Club
This program is for 1st Degree Black Belts and above who are working to achieve a higher degree of Black Belt. These students work on a different weapon each testing cycle as well as their differnt requirments for testing. |
CIT
This is a Certified Instructor Training class where students who are teens/adults and have at least a 1st Degree Black Belt can train to become a Certified Instructor. |
